Want to understand what your dog's behavior is telling you?
I'll teach you to listen, understand, and respond to your dog's concerns, instead of suppressing their feelings or distracting them from what's on their minds. That means reading their most subtle body language, and noticing what posture and gait reveal about discomfort. Once we understand what our dogs are trying to tell us, a whole new world opens up.
Stress and discomfort inhibit learning.
Many dogs are overwhelmed by their environments, and receive inappropriate exercise, insufficient enrichment, and poor nutrition. Address the physical and mental concerns, and unwanted behaviors usually resolve on their own. A calm mind is far better equipped to communicate, learn, and retain.
Choice and agency build confidence and trust.
A dog who gets to decide where to sniff, when to approach, and when to walk away learns that their choices matter. Slowing down, listening, and offering that choice can transform your relationship.
I do dog training differently.
You're in the right place if you're committed to ethical, force-free care and want to understand your dog as the emotional, intelligent individual they are. Rather than correcting behavior after it happens, we look at what's causing it. Dogs don't need to be "fixed." They need to feel safe and understood, and that starts with learning their language.
